Closing Shift Endings: Escape, Party, and Radio Twist

What Happens at the End of Closing Shift?

Getting out of the restaurant doesn't end the scare. Closing Shift endings center on an elevator escape objective and a Phase 1 finale that turns the radio's guidance against you. Understanding the escape requirements and the story's final deception gives you something concrete to work toward while the mascots hunt.

In Roblox's Closing Shift, your main objective is to collect four keys and a four-digit code to call the elevator back. Escaping in that elevator earns CLOSING TIME.

The Phase 1 finale also includes a departure through the restaurant's chained front doors. A voice guides you toward daylight before the closing dialogue reveals that the radio itself was part of the deception. The birthday party and the SPARED encounter add separate survival moments worth understanding as you play.

Story spoilers follow, including the radio reveal and the false night guard's confession.

How to Complete the Elevator Escape

Closing Shift — How to Complete the Elevator Escape

CLOSING TIME has been awarded 62,906 times, while NOT A SCRATCH, earned by escaping without a death, has been awarded 5,943 times. If you're chasing the latter, staying alive matters throughout the night.

Work through the escape objective:

  1. Ask the Puppet for help. Find it at the security desk and request a tip. This also earns A LITTLE ADVICE.
  2. Search for all four keys. Watch the cameras and use closets, vents, and barricades to manage encounters while exploring.
  3. Find the four-digit code. Keep the code objective alongside your key search.
  4. Call the elevator back and escape. Riding out completes the requirement for CLOSING TIME.

Several badges let you add conditions to the same escape goal:

BadgeRequirement
CLOSING TIMEEscape the restaurant in the elevator.
NOT A SCRATCHEscape without dying once.
BY THE BOOKPersonally find a key and a code scrap, then ride out during that same night.
IN THE DARKEscape with your light off for the entire night.

For BY THE BOOK, collect both required items yourself before leaving. For a standard escape attempt, keep your flashlight available: holding its beam on Foxy's face can force him to retreat. An IN THE DARK attempt adds the challenge of completing the night without using that light.

The Phase 1 Front-Door Finale and Radio Twist

The final departure sequence sounds reassuring at first. Dawn is approaching, and the voice on the radio tells you that the animatronics become quieter in daylight. It directs you toward the front doors, warns you away from the stage, and explains that your last key opens the padlock securing the chain.

After the chain comes off, the voice urges you outside and tells you to keep walking without turning around. That apparent guidance breaks down as other dialogue protests your departure and warns you away from the front gate.

The reveal is that the speaker claims to have been the radio voice all along. The sequence closes with a declaration of returning, turning the escape's reassuring instructions into part of the threat.

Watch for the false night guard connection, too. The man who let you inside was seeking shelter and had taken on a guard's identity. His confession during the birthday party exposes that lie, giving the restaurant's opening encounter a darker meaning.

Surviving the Birthday Party and SPARED Encounter

The birthday party demands obedience. Freddy tells the guests to remain seated, while the warning before the singing calls for silence and averted eyes. Follow those instructions instead of treating the gathering as a safe break from the chase.

PARTY GUEST rewards surviving the birthday party. DON'T LEAVE has its own requirement: remain in the room while the birthday song plays and survive.

The SPARED badge involves another specific encounter:

  • Get caught while on your last life.
  • Talk back.
  • Go where the animatronic tells you.

That requirement makes dialogue part of survival. Separately, SILVER TONGUE rewards talking an animatronic into letting you go. The game's voice interactions allow the hunters to hear you, so pay attention when one addresses you—and follow the destination instruction when pursuing SPARED.
